I am so excited for my first celebrity interview. I hope this is the first of many but I am so honored that one of my favorite people who I look up to and admire took the time out for my blog. Will Ontiveros (IG: @willontiverostv ) stole my heart as the muscle cub on season 1 of Revenge Body with Khloé Kardashian. He is a television personality, host and producer. He is so motivated and driven and inspired me to be the best version of myself. I want to thank you Will for taking the time out to answer my questions. Sending love your way always.
Kimmi: I see on social media you have a beautiful little family with Kenny and Teddy so how are you doing overall?
Will: I love that social media allows us a chance to share our REAL UNEDITED lives if we choose to so I like to take advantage of that and share what is the realest part of my life which is my two favorite men: Kenny and Teddy. Kenny and I actually met shortly after filming had wrapped, long story short my ex that was the motivation for me to audition for the show was dating Kenny during my journey on revenge body. They broke up shortly after my reveal and somehow the universe decided that Kenny and I were to meet in person and despite fighting feelings because of the ties we both had to Kyle (the ex) we ended up falling in love and will be soon celebrating our 2-year anniversary this upcoming January. As far as Teddy, HE IS PERFECT AND ADORABLE!
Kimmi: I want to talk about Revenge Body how was that experience like?
Will: Being completely honest, I have been in TV since I was 15 appearing on my super sweet sixteen and two other reality shows as a young adult. After my break up I was working in TV behind the scenes but always knew I am an entertainer at heart. my neighbor is a casting director and had heard about my breakup and suggest I audition for this show. In the beginning, I really wasn't seeking to change authentically. I was so heartbroken that I was fairly numb and auditioned blindly thinking it was another move to appear on tv. That all changed about a week into training with Gunnar, when off camera we sat down and talked about my life and I realized I had the choice to just appear on another show or really embrace the help I was being given and make real change and progress as a person. I never looked back after that talk and I concentrated only on improving. I even quit my job and worked out 2-3 times daily.
Kimmi: You look incredible! You were definitely my favorite story to follow on Revenge Body. Your journey has truly inspired me. How was Khloé and the show inspired you on your journey?
Will: Firstly, it is beyond an honor to be an inspiration to anyone. Being the first season and the first episode I had to expectations of the after effect and it's WONDERFUL to hear I have inspired anyone to make changes. I think for me the inspiration really came from positive encouragement. If I had been paired with a trainer that was military style or screaming me to push my limits I would have quit. Khloé was very nurturing during the process and it was only positive reinforcement, as long as I was doing my part. Obviously, we spend much more time with our trainers and so I developed a strong relationship with Gunnar and every session we had we would chat about life, joke, and talk about random things. That element made me comfortable to then really push myself. It was the honest friendship we had and the wisdom he shared about fitness that really motivated me to make the changes and most importantly DO THE WORK.
Kimmi: I know you were working with Khloé's sister, Kylie on her show Life of Kylie, what was it like producing that show?
Will: BLESSINGS! Yes, I had the opportunity to produce Kylie's show and it was a lot of work but it was a great push in my career. Working with major celebs can be difficult but overall it was a positive experience and has opened many other doors for me. I even made a small cameo on the show!
Kimmi: You have done some incredible things in your career, so what's next? What can we look forward to seeing from you?
Will: Very blessed for my age to have been able to have my hands touch so many great projects so I appreciate the compliment! I have always been a very driven person. I am very passionate about television whether that is in front of camera or behind. I have been continuing to produce shows, and as of late I have been getting into development. I have a show that I developed with a business partner that I am hoping will be available to watch next year in 2019 and Gunnar and I have been working on a show of his own! So we are hoping that in 2019 we will get the green light to start filming! As far as my own in front of the camera. I did make a cameo on season 2 of RB and spent a lot of time with Mayank that the audience didn't get to see. I am hoping to continue to be a part of the RB family and I do host a charity event yearly. I am working on my own youtube series putting out cooking recipes that I did to achieve my own weight loss, and I am starting a podcast about the inside of the TV industry and how people got where they are! I plan on continuing to make and produce great TV shows and put my ass on them!
Kimmi: You are definitely an overall inspiration what is one piece of advice you would give someone who needs a push to get motivated?
Will: This is a hard question because everyone has their own journey but being sad I think the best thing someone can do to to get motivated is talk to yourself about what motivates you. You have to create that motivation for youself because no one can do it for you. YOU HAVE TO WORK FOR IT.
